Enhanced business logic processing

The complexity of deployment environments found in most installations today require applications to handle the complexities of data, logic, and display management in a manner suited for a distributed computing environment. That is why creating, exposing, and accessing business logic is a primary focus of OpenEdge 10. More prescriptive, automatic, and advanced tools for the process of defining and constructing business logic are provided, such as the Progress DataSet (ProDataSet), a new 4GL object designed to recognize and leverage the new distributed computing models while simultaneously providing an advanced data abstraction layer in your application architecture. The ProDataSet also is designed to map to Microsoft's .NET DataSet implementation, to make it easier to combine OpenEdge business logic with .NET desktop applications.
